Stone Information

Owner Nina Nguyen said she is unable to design beautiful jewelry while contributing to the widespread environmental damage.  While she will continue to offer her beautiful, designer jewelry, she will endeavor to process and package the jewelry in ways to minimally impact the environment. Nina Nguyen Designs wishes to be an innovator in the jewelry industry and lead by example.  They hope these efforts will educate and encourage vendors and buyers to join them in greening their businesses.

Cloud based, Nina Nguyen Designs encourages the majority of communication to be digital  and limits the use of paper in our offices.  When needed, we only use recycled paper

Starting in 2013 all of our printed materials, from catalogs to business cards, will be printed only using recycled paper.

Stones are naturally formed, and are not dyed or artificially colored or textured.

We contribute to several organizations whose goal it is to help protect and preserve.

The Nature Conservancy:

Partnered several times with People Style Watch to give proceeds from featured items sold to a charity organization of our choosing, which has always been Nature.org.

Children of Vietnam:

Dedicated to providing the children of Vietnam living in poverty what they need to succeed in life: good nutrition, life saving medical care, safe and secure housing, and access to education. Learn more here: childrenofvietnam.org

The Humane Society

The Humane Society of the United States is the nation's largest and most effective animal protection organization.

Waves for Water:

To get clean water to every single person who needs it. We recently participated in the Sparkle for Sandy Relief effort to help victims of hurricane Sandy.

All Nina Nguyen Designs jewelry is now packaged in plastic bags made from corn oil and designed to break down under natural decomposing conditions into naturally occurring compounds.

While slightly more expensive and marginally less transparent, these bags will not choke landfills, oceans, rivers, lakes and forests taking hundreds of years to decompose into noxious chemicals.  Find out more about our new eco bags at clearbags.com.
